Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is going well. I am having a relaxing Saturday with my cat, Dusty, and we are really excited you’re here to chit-chat with us.
I have been trying to be productive all day. I know it’s Saturday, but I work tomorrow so today is technically my Sunday. Instead, Dusty and I have been cuddling all day watching Switched at Birth on my laptop.
I am trying to learn American Sign Language (ASL) this summer and so I decided I would re-start and watch Switched at Birth from the beginning and pay more attention to the ASL that is happening. It is a good excuse, I loved this show when it first came out but for some reason I never finished it. I think I was super frustrated with the whole Bay & Emmett situation and I just really wanted them to work out. I will stop ranting I am going-off topic. So far all I know for ASL is ‘ice’ ,’coffee’, ‘milk’, ‘cream’ , “thank you”, “how are you”, “how can I help you”, ’embarassed’, “learning to sign” , and “learning to finger spell”.
I am also moving to British Columbia at the end of the summer which is very exciting! I honestly love it there and I am really lucky that I get to transfer there. I am in a sorority and thankfully my sorority has a chapter there so I will get to reach out so some sisters to get settled in my new city.
Because I am moving, I am trying to go through my things are start to get rid of stuff. I am trying to decide what to do with my furniture because I will be temporarily be living in a furnished place so I have to keep my stuff in a storage unit or something but I don’t know if I will leave it here in my current city or bring it out with me to BC and keep it in storage. I am just going to not worry about it yet. Because of this move and going into a place with a backyard and forest behind the house, I am super worried my indoor-cat will sneak out or something and get lost so I might try and microchip her before I go.
To be honest, I am not really quite sure what to fill you in on. This is probably my 2nd week of actively working on my blog. I have had the site up since March but things were really busy and I haven’t really had much of a chance to work on til now. So I am pretty rusty. Being a new blogger, especially in 2019 seems fairly difficult to do. But I love talking and sharing and talking and growing takes time. If you have any advice for me I would love to hear it!
By the way, I tried to podcast this morning !
Feel free to listen to my very first (and rusty) episode where I chat with you this morning about trying new things and leaving your comfort zone. I am so happy to introduce myself and let’s be friends!
Til next time,
I am so excited to have you here. If this is your first time here, welcome! I post about college & young adult life, financial topics, and lifestyle-related topics. If you want to know more about me you can read more here . Or, you can also always keep in touch !
